Pelican Nest Seafood Grill is a must-try restaurant right on Eagle Beach in Aruba. You can spend a few hours on the beach and then have an early meal here and it’s in walking distance of most of the hotels on the beach. My family and I really enjoyed this restaurant and are looking forward to going back next year.
The location has absolutely no comparison as it in literally right on top of the water. The view is unbelievable and it’s the perfect opportunity to watch the sun set. Some people came nicely dressed but they’ll take you right off the beach too.
The service is very fast and very efficient but not quite as friendly as most places in Aruba. I saw that with both the hostess and my server although we were helped by a server in another section and he was very friendly so maybe it was just an off day. They were rude by any stretch of the imagination but just not the typical Aruban style.
They have a wide variety of tropical cocktails, all of which are delicious. We’ve had many of them throughout our years going to Aruba and they never disappoint.
The food is perfect. The crab cakes are very good but the wasabi sauce they serve with them is to-die-for. These are a must-have and I highly recommend them (I couldn’t even get a picture because they went so fast). I got their beef tenderloin for dinner which was delicious plus you get two. I could only finish one of them and we shared the other the following day. Tyler got the best dinner which as the trio and included the beef tenderloin, maui maui, and a grilled lobster tail. I don’t normally order lobster in Aruba because I’m a New England girl and I’m usually disappointed but this lobster was very good.
Don’t miss this one – great drinks, great food, great atmosphere. It’s really the type of place that makes you feel like you’re on a tropical vacation.
Get there early or make a reservation, this place is absolutely packed around dinner time. We got there around 3:30 on a Thursday and were able to get a table but it filled up pretty quickly.
Some of their chairs are actually benches which means two people sit on a bench together while eating. While you’re sitting it’s not a big deal but trying to get up or adjust the bench was a pain. Try to get a table with individual chairs.
If you get there early, sitting right next to the water is beautiful but it gets very hot. I would recommend sitting a little farther in.
