It was recently my birthday and I had an awesome night out with friends. Since my New Years Resolution was to spend more time taking care of myself, I bought new Kate Spade heels and matching wristlet for the occasion. Even though I’m taking care of myself, I’m still thrifty…I just can’t bring myself to spend a lot of money so I purchased both from thredUP at the fraction of the cost of buying the items new.
My thredUP Experience:
I have been working with thredUP for a little over a month but this was my first purchase on their site. I absolutely love their site but was nervous to buy something second-hand over the internet. I’m super picky, especially about shoes and clothes and I wasn’t sure what I was going to get. I chose two items that were labelled as “Almost New” and waited for them to arrive. It takes awhile to get your product which I didn’t mind because I know it keeps the total cost of the product lower.
When the package arrive I was excited. The packaging was gorgeous and thankfully so were both the heels and wristlet. They looked brand new and I only paid about half price for them! I rocked those heels for my birthday and got so many compliments, no one had a clue they were purchased on consignment!
My advice? Check out thredUP today and get upscale merchandise for a fraction of the cost. No one will be able to tell, not even you!
Tip: If you’re into quality like I am, make sure to pick the clothes they have labelled as “New With Tags” or “Practically New” so you can be sure you’re only getting absolutely the best. I’m sure all of their stuff is in pretty good shape but I want everything looking brand-spanking-new!
