Frugal Fashion: Layering Summer With Fall

With the fall slowly approaching, a lot of you are probably thinking “I don’t want to put my summer clothes away.”  Well, good news, you don’t have to.  One day I was looking at my daughter who was three at the time and she was wearing something very creative.  She took her favorite summer dress and then put it over a turtleneck, paired it with tights, ballet flats and a jean jacket… after I told her it was too cold for the dress.  Apparently, she was onto something.  Layering your favorite summer pieces, so that you can extend the wear is in.  You can even take your favorite shorts and wear them over a fun tight, ankle boots and a pretty top. There are also the Capri pants.  That is easy, pair with tall boots and a jacket, sweater, blazer, etc.  If you love your miniskirts paired with sandals and tank tops during the summer, well, just add a fall colored tight, some boots and a classic blazer and you now have a sophisticated fall look.

You can save money, have fun and show your creative side just by stepping out of the box.  So, just because the calendar says it is time to put the summer clothes away, fashion is saying keep them out.
