Strawberries are so good, I can eat them for breakfast, for snack, or even for dessert. I love them plain or with some whipped cream on top (preferably homemade).
Strawberries are the most popular fruit today and are enjoyed in a variety of ways. They are great fresh from picking, as a cereal topper, a dessert, or even in a salad. With more than 600 different varieties of strawberries, the US is home to 70 of those varieties.
The nutrient density of strawberries is too vast to list here, however, some of the more potent and beneficial nutrients include, vitamin C, manganese, iodine, potassium, folate, B2, B5, omega-3, B6, vitamin K, magnesium, copper, carotenoids, flavonoids, and phytosterols. As you can image from just this list, the health benefits are great and include antioxidant protection, promotion of brain health, increased joint health, and include bone building properties.
While most eat strawberries raw, you can add them to many different dishes throughout the day.
