Cooking with your kids has awesome benefits. I utilized cooking with children as a teaching strategy often in my home and classroom. Cooking teaches kids in every area of study, math, reading, science, social studies, and even social emotional. The best part? They don’t feel like they’re being taught anything. They’re just excited to have some fun with their mom! And isn’t that the way all learning should be?
The Children’s Quick and Easy Cookbook has tons of pictures and easy-to-follow recipes. These recipes will appeal to kids all while getting them to try new things. The part I love about this book is that they are basic enough to be kids friendly but parents will also like the dinners too. This book will really last because the recipes are of varying difficulty so a young child can do some of them but some of the recipes are more difficult and will appeal to them as they get older.
My son is a teenager now and is an amazing cook. He can make delicious dinners from scratch on the nights I come from work exhausted (an added bonus).
Tell me, do you ever cook with your kids? If you have, tell me how it went! If you haven’t, try it out and let me know the results!
